not a shalee fan.....as is well known......but i sincerely hope she comes back from this with no residual effects......i know first hand the agony of a debilitating injury.....and the frustration of playing with the injury still effecting you.....and the whispers that....you probably will never be the same....
i've got my fingers crossed for her.....cause believe it or not.....other than disagreement about the latta/lehning issue....i don't really dislike her.....

Shalee is recovering quite well and is spending lots of time helping the Kansas State team. The degree of her shoulder separation was quite severe; the doctor had never seen one this bad in a female athlete. I do not know what the prognosis is or how much rehab she is looking at (initially she was told that recovery time would be 4-6 months) but I know she will put her heart into as she does everything.

Ticha is about ready to be a coach, and with the new restrictions on assistant coaches, having a coach who counts as a player might not be a bad thing. But I have no idea what KIND of a coach she'd make.
I could see her mentoring Lehning, or some other young draftee.
She was talking about just hanging it up. We'll see.
As for Lehning, does anyone know how she's doing? I wonder about the long-range effects of that injury of hers.
STH Event: Meet & Greet w/New Owner 12.16.09 « Result #7 on Dec 16, 2009, 10:52pm »
Went to the Dream STH Meet & Greet/Mixer event tonight at the Georgia Tech women's game. STHs got in the game for free (and could also stay for the men's game afterwards) with our own section. And we had a private reception/meet and greet with WNBA President Donna O., new Dream owner Kathy Betty, Chamique Holdsclaw, and Atlanta's own Lisa Borders. Autographs and picture taking abounded. (I took pics with Donna, Kathy and Lisa...already have quite a few with Mique. Jennifer Lacy sat just a section over from us watching the game.)
Kathy Betty addressed the audience at half time from midcourt.
Lots of fun. Got to hang with my Dream crew thatGAgirl and atldreamgirl13, and the Yellow Jackets won.

at this point in time i'd rather have shalee than tichia.....and katie is still loads better than both of them put together.....katies' frayed edges are begining to show tho......she's about 50% of what she once was.....except in spots......i think mm is going after tichia.....katie is probably headed back to minn.....mm probably declined to pick anyone in the draft in order to go after one of the free agents.....the most likely is tichia.....jmo

If I had to choose between the two I would choose Katie. Does anyone know what's going to happen with Nolen in Tulsa? Is she sitting out the season to demand a trade or will she sit out regardless?

I heard or read that Katie Smith mentioned if she came back to WNBA next season that it would NOT be for Tulsa where the Shock moved.
I heard the rumblings regarding trying to get Ticha from Sacremento....but what about Katie Smith...a season veteran at the point who CAN LIGHT IT UP from outside the arc....can you imagine the Dream with Katie running the point????
