I have not been on in a while but has anyone one heard the rumor of the Dream leaving Atlanta and going to Tennessee?

I've heard it, but I don't put much stock in it yet. As far as I know, the Dream will play at Philips next year.
Kathy Betty might be buying the team, but new ownership is never a guarantee that the Dream will stay in place.

Not Tennessee, but Tulsa. I'm pretty much resigned to losing the team at this point. There's really no other explanation for not having season ticket renewal packages out.

I'm now guessing the probability of there being a team next year as 20 percent. With a hostile local media, declining ticket sales, the Dream actively seeking a new principal owner, no 2010 season ticket sales (yet) and Danielle Donehew's departure...any one of those things wouldn't be worrisome - but all of them would.

For those who don't frequent the Rebkell boards, you should really follow the discussion/speculation on the possible end of the Dream on the Dream Ticket Renewal thread.

Hopefully it is good news as was posted by the FO person. What do you think, new owner and new arena?
In any event, if they are staying, it is too bad that they missed the opportunity to sell during the playoffs. A herculean sales effort is in order.
Although, one has to wonder with the economy, if many folks would take a wait-and-see approach anyway?
Congrats to Donahew, it sounds like she's got a great opportunity.

Seems like it's the Shock that's moving to Tulsa.

even if the dream doesn't leave....they've alienated a lot of their fans with thier behavior....atl is a fickle sports town at best.....mistakes in actions can leave you without a fan base at all.....

Thanks for posting this. This is basically the same info I was given last week by an insider (be patient, there's a reason for the silence, all points to good news for Dream, etc.)...but I was asked not to say anything.
