we've got a lot of pluses.....but our entire fortune rests on 4 gimpy knees.....we have no outside shooter.....and we have no fast break.....on the plus side.....we've got claw.....oh yeah.....desouze is a beast.... DeSouza certainly IS a presence! I still wonder how CT let her get away in the expansion draft. And I enjoyed watching Claw and Catch going against one another too. Anyone know how Claw's legs are after last night?

Last night's game was AMAZING!! I wish all of you could have been a part of the awesome atmosphere in Phillips Arena.
Getting a win to open the season is very nice!!!
Wow! DeSouza is a BEAST!!! I love the way she plays the game. I think she has become one of my favorites. Claw - what can you say?! She can still put the ball in the basket. Her knees are definitely worse which resulted in her following the offensive player some, but I enjoyed the battle between her and T. Catch. I honestly think Claw did a decent job playing defense, better than I thought she would.
I agree that we are a bit slow with the starting line-up on the court. With the starters on the floor, DeSouza was out on the fast break more than everyone else which should tell you how slow Claw and Teasley really were. Snow got in early foul trouble and never really got mentally into the game the rest of the night. Sancho missed some layups early on but improved during the game.
We don't really have an outside shooter. We made 2 three pointers all night. I think we sorely need some improvement from 15ft out. Angel took a few 3s, but she was never really a 3pt threat in college and I doubt in the last 2 months that's all she has worked on. Outside of a few turnovers and forced shots, I think Angel's rookie debut was a good one.
Izzy (from this point forth to be referred to as Dizzy) - Wow! I think she was lost a number of times on the floor. She was awful defensively! Nothing but a liability on the court!!!
I thought the coaching on both sidelines was a bit questionable at times. I have no idea what was going with Meadors and her substitutions down the stretch (or other points during the game for that matter). I'm also not sure why Dunn didn't just run a clear out for T. Catch for the final play of the game, but I'm glad she didn't.
Double OT has to be rough on the bodies of Claw and Teasley in particular. Hopefully the team can step up today in Washington to take some of the pressure off of them.
I definitely think the key for us this season is going to be defense. We don't really have a fast break, but we have a few scorers and HUGE potential on the inside. If Claw, DeSouza, and a third party can get us 50pts each game, I am confident that we will win more than we lose if the defense is solid.
I am very excited about this season. The refusal to lose last night is a great sign for Dream fans. And although I disagree with the Latta cut, I think we have an exciting season ahead especially if we limit Dizzy's court time.
ONE TEAM. ONE DREAM!!!!!
Go Dream!!!
