again, an an uneven performance, but who can complain, given how the balance worked out?
I don't know the reason, but check out these figures from the court: NOLAN: 2-14 McWILLIAMS: 4-12 SMITH: 6-15, and much worse than that until the last couple of minutes.
Jaye, got any observations?

"The Dream offense is not very liquid", says Art. I don't think I've ever heard that description before, but it kind of makes sense. "Liquid". Flows well, I guess. actually the term is supposed to be "fluid".... .....but sometimes art gets confused.....

Jaye, got any observations? i thought they showed some real good things tonight.....we've got the same problems.....but talent makes up for a lot of mistakes.....and talent we've got......we still haven't got the team defense concept down yet.....but they at least made a concerted effort to play defense tonight.....and did help out on "d"..... we really .....really need to learn how to close out games and step on the neck when we've got them down......no team that plays us ever gets despondant when we have them down cause they know that we are going to let them get back in it eventually......we need to learn how to close the show and get some killer instinct..... but all in all i was pleased with this one.....tho i'm afraid if we had been playing a better team.....we might have had some problems..... but a win is a win....is a win.....

Already as many wins as all last season. As imperfect as this team may be right now, it's performing light-years better than before. End of story.

This game ended my four-game visit to Atlanta. I had a great time and enjoyed watching the games.
In the end I must say that I am not as impressed with the team as I had expected. There is certainly no lack of talent, but before they truly dominate anybody they are going to have to work as a team. I strongly suspect that part of the disjointedness comes from not having played together for long and that it will continue to get better as the season progresses. There were times that I felt the ladies were just plain lazy. One time, Angel took off down the court in a transition play but was outnumbered when she reached the Dream goal. She looked around to pass and the only player even on that end of the court was Shalee. The other three were still hanging out at the other end kind of walking down the court. I didn't get that...
I was frustrated at times, but also overjoyed at times with the way the team played. It was pure joy to watch Shalee out there on the court. I know her performance hasn't been up to what some of you expect, but from what I saw, she is holding her own well. I can promise you that she will continue to work hard and do what the coaches ask of her.
I'm hoping to return to Atlanta and cheer on the Dream again next summer.
