a lot of that comeback was due to what the sun did....and not to what we didn't.....we had a good effort from all involved.....shalee had a good game.....she tired down the stretch.....and coco's not a point guard.....brown burned our guards repeatedly.....
shalee is a very intelligent player.....but she doesn't create.....if our sets work.....she has good eyes and can spot the open player and passes well.....but.....and this is not bashing her.....she's not able to drive the middle and create opportunities for her teammates.....this is partly why when the sun came out in the second with an adjusted defense our offense faltered.....our sets lack the precision a guard like shalee needs to operate....when we're moving and hitting our shots.....her stats are going to be up....but when we're not.....her job is pretty much going to be to bring the ball down pass it and back out.....acting as an outlet passee
there are coaches and offenses where her type of ball would really shine.....

jaye, I'm not sure that Shalee tired any more than anyone else did....ultimately, our shooting was poor, and that can't be blamed on Shalee's fatigue.
As I tried to say earlier, Shalee plays within the system. She gets the ball where it's supposed to go, based upon the sets. She CAN drive the middle (and score there)---I watched her do it for years---but apparently that's not what she's being asked to do right now. But she played at K-State where for years it's been an inside-out game---penetrate and dish to 3-point shooters.
But I know you feel the coach is the problem....and her offense. But no matter what type of offense you choose to run, Shalee can run it, and will be a coach on the floors.
What would have been nice is for our #1 draft pick to have shown up tonight.....

50% more wins than last year---and we're not even half-way!

where in anything i said did i infer that our poor shooting was due to shalee's fatigue.....
and jeez man.....shalee is good at some things....not so good at others....she's a good player that belongs in the "w".....but you're over pushing her.....her floor vision is excellent.....but she continuously gets burned on defense.....she can hit players precisely coming off of cuts.....but she can't draw the defense and dish.....she keeps her head and doesn't crack under pressure.....but she's not very fast and when she's leading the break the defense invariably catches up with our break....
she's got pluses and minuses.....
lyttle however is our backbone.....how lyttle goes is how the dream is going to go....claw is our goto player....and our finisher....but lyttle keeps up in position to win....this was a very good sun team.....granted they came out flat.....but they got it together in the second half.....and beating them was a very good win.....we actually looked like a team for most of the game.....and yeah.....shalee had a part in that....

Didn't mean to imply you said anything about poor shooting and Shalee's fatigue. You commented on her fatigue, and I was simply pointing out that it didn't seem an issue....that the issue was poor shooting, overall. And didn't mean to imply she doesn't have minuses. Your last paragraph is right on. Now we've somehow got to get McCoughtry in the mix. Is it attitude? Does she get down on herself? Is she crosswise the coach? What is it?!?

you're right....it wasn't an issue.....and she seems to be the kind of athlete that pushes even tho tired.....shalee looked very good....and tho brown burned our guards.....she was just in a zone.....i doubt gary payton could have stopped her.....
angel is the kind of player that needs lots of touches to get into a flow.....she's not a eddie house type player that can come in and give you instant offense.....and i agree with the crowd that feels that angel should be starting instead of izzy.....not so much because she's better....but because of how their games stack up.....izzy can come off the bench shooting.....and angel's got an ego....she seems to be in mm's doghouse.....i really think she might have said something that mm didn't like.....angels headbutts with her college coach are well known.....if she took the same attitude with mm.....she might be in for a good bit of splinters.....hope not....
but all in all....i still don't think we're as good as we could have been.....but we're dangerous as h*ll....and no one.....i mean no one is looking forward to playing us.....
