We did it!
Great scoring. We didn't yield the lead at the end!
Izzy had 20 points, and a +22 in the +/- column, and we won!
What a game by Claw!

Great job by Latta filling in for Lehning after she turned her ankle.

Here's something else: Wiggins 2-10 from the field, and only 7 points.
I saw some times when the D was as good as anyone could ask. Not the whole game, unfortunately, but it's getting better.
Good job.

Awesome win today Dream!! I watched the whole game tonight on tivo and boy was it great to see! Everyone played well, hustled and brought their 'A' game... even Mary Nell seemed to be substituting players more thoughtfully! Holdsclaw is amazing to watch... we are lucky to have her! Keep it up!!!

I just finished watching the archived webcast... overall, I thought it was a good team game. I was impressed and it gave me a great deal of hope for what the team can do when they play together.
First, I was THRILLED to see that Shalee got to start. I know that had to be a moment she will never forget. However, the webcast didn't begin until midway through the first quarter so I was unable to hear her name introduced. This "high" was replaced by a "low" when she hurt her ankle in the second quarter. I am concerned about this injury but hoping she can work through it and play on Friday.
Second, I was really impressed with Holdsclaw's performance. She was on fire and simply could not be stopped. If she were like that for every game I think our record would be up there with the tops in the W. It was great to see! The entire teamed really turned things around after a horrible loss in NY.
Third, Sancho Lyttle - she has been the most consistent player all year and I am enjoying the emotion she shows. During this game it was sometimes obvious that she was pleased and at other times she was frustrated. But she showed enough emotion to make it obvious that she cared.
Fourth, I thought both Latta and Lehning were solid at the point. Neither was spectacular although Latta was great about sinking some key shots. They are different players but both did the job and did it well. I think that the way defenses respond to the different guards could be something the coaches can capitalize on.
I could go on and on but I'm tired so I won't! I just hope Shalee is okay to play on Friday as I know she will have some hometown fans in the crowd who will have made an awfully long drive to watch her play.

shaleefan... your post is spot on. I watched the recording last night as well and was impressed with how the team played. Holdsclaw was incredible, Izzy shooting lights out, Snow was aggressive and made an impact. Lyttle is amazing with her work ethic and determination to get the job done. It was great to see Latta get some points and have a chance to get comfortable with the team. Shalee was doing well running the floor. I, too, hope she can get past this injury and play tomorrow. Great win for the Dream!!
