We've lost our last two games without Mique. It really puts things into perspective and makes the whole PG debate kind of meaningless. If we didn't know, we now know who the real "answer" is for this team and it's not who some thought it was. We need scorers on the floor to win games. We won't go far without Mique...JMO...
Get better soon, Mique! GO DREAM!!!

we could have easily won that game last night.....that wild shot by izi was the worst case of a supposed superstar doing what's best for her team that i've seen in quite a while.....there was no excuse for that shot.....and it closed the door on our hopes of winning......back in the playground when you threw up a shot like that.....your team would say that you broke our back......

Shall we sit here and have another kum-ba-ya moment? No, I say. It's time for Ivory to start!!!
Without Chamique on the floor to tell her what do, Shalee has no real ability to lead. While she was impressive in college (I did take the time to look up her bio), I think that at this point in her life, she is over-matched at the professional level. Not to say that with some development, she couldn't be great, but starting for a team that needs a leader NOW, is not the time for that development.
For those who say that Ivory is excitable, and plays like she has something to prove, I say start her and keep her in. She'll probably become the most focused player on the team. Every one of her detractors (mm included) seems to forget what she did for NC.
If Ivory starts, you can bet that her point average and her assist average will increase. I'm sure that she could cut into the ten points per game that Shalee could if she wanted, but doesn't seem to want to, or can't score. Those ten points would have made a big difference in the game.
Standing off to the side, and HOPING to bring a defender with her, isn't working either. Everybody knows she isn't going to shoot, so why bother. She just succeeds in leaving her team-mates to deal with an extra defender.
I'm not saying that Shalee is the only reason for a loss. There's plenty of blame to go around. What I am saying, is that is one piece of the puzzle that isn't hard to fit in, and it would pay instant dividends.
