Gee, it's 12:45 a.m. here in Sacramento and I'm just now getting a chance to sit down and write something... This was a great night for me and my family! We got to Denver really late last night and then got into Sacramento this afternoon - in time to make a few signs supporting the Dream. Our group of ten quite vocal fans were always the ones clapping and hooting when the rest of the crowd was silent - it was an odd feeling!
I thought the team looked pretty good tonight although defense definitely got sloppy at times. My only other serious complain about the way we are playing is that Izzy is hurting us by shooting so much. I know this has been discussed before and I have mixed feelings about it. Tonight she would take a shot that was just crazy and then sink it so it's hard to be mad at her. On the other hand, she shot too early several times, before her teammates had time to get there to rebound, and it was basically a turnover because when she missed Sacramento was handed the ball. Without the scoring she contributes, we would be in serious trouble, but if she were a little more selective I think we would be an even better team.
The assists for the entire team were amazing!!! Such unselfish, team play makes everyone better and is so much fun to watch. Angel had 10 assists!!!!! Did any of us ever think that would happen? I didn't! That makes her a huge threat -- if she doesn't score on you, she will find someone who can.
I got a little nervous at times but I felt like the Dream just played like they wanted to win and at times Sacramento didn't look like they cared. We had a lot more energy than the Monarchs and it showed in the fourth quarter. I was amazed we had so much energy considering this has been a long road trip and the game time couldn't have been worse for an east coast team.
After the game, my friends and family were able to say hello to Shalee and that made the trip even better! We also got to see Erica and Izzy come out of the locker room to a crowd of Brazilians cheering enthusiastically - they are obviously loved by a lot of people and I can relate to that because of how I feel about Shalee.

I know this is early but I just had to tell someone.... I just printed my boarding passes and will be driving to Denver tonight then flying from there to Sacramento tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I'm kind of exited.... Wow, talk about dedication...
I'll be sitting courtside adjacent to the ATL bench/basket if you want to say hi. Too bad Holdsclaw isn't coming on this road trip... Last time I saw her was in 2007 in PHO for the Finals in the VIP lounge. She was having a sandwich. I'm sorry! I didn't check this board before the game so didn't get your message, otherwise I would have stopped by to say hello. I hope you enjoyed the game!

glad you enjoyed yourself shalee fan.....if you took some pics....share them with us.....
as for the game....a win is a win....but i wouldn't put too much emphasis on this one....this is the same sac team that everybody looked so great against last time we played them....defense is just something that sac heard exists....and our assist count was over the board against them last time also......we can do things against sac that we can't do against the better teams.....
but again....a win is a win.....good game ladies.....
