Has anyone seen actual confirmation of the ACL tear in Turkey? I have seen it a lot of places, but have yet to see anything official!

I can confirm she tore her acl about 3 weeks ago. Had surgery 6 days ago and is in good spirits. She'll be in Atlanta once the season starts to rehab.

Thanks Scarab! I just wish the news was that these were rumors!

sports.espn.go.com/wnba/transactionsIs this true? That Chantelle was waived? it isn't on the dot com, and it seems odd that they wouldn't at least keep her this year, since she's on the suspended list. I wonder if that means they want to try to bring in someone else..

She was in San Antonio on Saturday at their game. I got that info from a friend who was at the game.

She gets into Atlanta today and is really excited to get into town and get started with rehab/appearances. She said the Dream has been very supportive and she thinks it'll be a great fit. She didn't say anything about being waived.

That makes sense to me. Otherwise, why wouldn't they have waived Chantelle before the roster deadline? I think that ESPN really needs to get a real wbb page admin! How many inaccuracies do they have on there?

On the transactions page of the WNBA site Anderson and Leuchanka were listed as "suspended" not "waived." I'm not sure what the distinction is - but I hear that the reason is to allow Anderson to heal and Leuchanka to stay in Russia to train for the Olympics. I'm assuming that means the Dream retains rights to contracts for next season.

I was a little confused as to why they would do that after listing her as suspended just a week earlier. I think ESPN just had their facts messed up, as if that should surprise me...

Anyone here know exactly what's the deal?

All I know is what she told me the other day. But that was then and today is today. If I find out anything more that I can share, I will. But the last time we communicated was when/what I posted previously.

Ok...they had to waive her so they could hire her back as a member of the organization. So she's still a part of the Dream family and we'll be seeing her at appearances, etc. She's happy with the outcome and happy to be starting rehab.

I think you can expect to see her in Dream training camp next season.
