Jay, I agree with stud. What's your thought process around why the Sun would take Jayne over Tina? Do tell. I thought Jayne had some nagging injuries. I think Charles is the better athlete: quicker, stronger, and healthier. She's also wearing a UConn jersey. I think that Tina will have an easier transition to the W than Jayne. As you said, time will tell...

1) Tina Charles - Sun 2) Monica Wright - Lynx (or Epiphanny Prince) 3) Jayne Appel - Lynx (she could go for the 2 pick though despite poor tourny appearance due to injury) 4) Epiphanny Prince - Sky/If Lynx don't take her. I think Coach Reeves wants her. (Alysha Clark is my admitted wishful thinking for this pick) 5) Allison Hightower - Silver Stars

well...so far the only pick I got wrong was the #3 pick...didn't see Kelsey Griffin coming there! but like they're saying over on Rebkell: I smell a trade coming...
Silver Stars on the clock...

man appel's stock dropped.... guess like latta fan said nagging injuries.... 0 for 12 didn't help any either.... griffin went high.... and i'm not really impressed with prince....but if she sticks with chi she's got a lot of players around her that will make up for her deficiencies....

I cannot believe Clark fell as far as she did. I also cannot believe that we didn't pick up a real guard

I cannot believe Clark fell as far as she did. I also cannot believe that we didn't pick up a real guard just got through posting that exact same in the other thread.... we need someone that can hit a three without 5 misses inbetween makes.... it was our single biggest weakness.... can't believe we haven't addressed that.... teams simply packed it in and dared us to shoot....

Oh Jaye did we expect MM to actually do something right? I wish you could have seen my face when she picked Mokango. I really didn't see us getting a big. I mean we have Desouza and Lyttle. As far as guards go we have Shalee who is second string at best. Coco and Kelly aren't 1 guards anyways. I'm glad I will be out the country for most of this season. Save my d**n season ticket money for another year. Maybe she wants us to be the worst and we could pick up Moore next year, although I think Tulsa will get her

I knew she wouldn't be picked first but when Jayne Appel gets healthy, look out!! The Lynx FO was stupid to pass on her. I can't wait to see a healthy Appel battle Charles. I want to clarify my position on Appel by saying that while Tina is currently healthier and stronger right now (because she's healthier), talent-wise, they were neck and neck. SASS lucked up big time in this draft. I am also not personally impressed with Prince. She went too high JMO. I think she was over-hyped but maybe she will prove me wrong. BTW, after 4 years of following the WNBA, I am going to finally become a Liberty fan. How can I not with Cappie Pondexter and Nicole Powell now part of the franchise. We are going to be raining threes in the Garden this summer. I can't wait! I did not understand the ATL picks at all. Is it just me? They passed on some good players that were still available. J. Morris anyone? She was another Angel in the making...blue collar worker that can just get it done...

given her injuries i knew appel was a long shot to go first.... but i thought there was a chance the sun would take a chance.... she seems like their type of player.....but when i saw appels' finals performance i knew that charles was a sun.... snow was far from my favorite player.... a lifetime underachiever.... but in trading her mm created a serious vacuum..... lyttle is a power forward.... and desouza is the only center we have.... unless you want to count leuchanka her going for a center didn't really suprise me as she put herself in that position.... the only reason for the snow/ivanyi trade could have been to get rid of snows' salary.... i have no idea who will stick.... leuchanka or mokango.... we've got to carry another center.... and neither one of these excites.... another thing is with the draft picks we have 17 players.... 8 who aren't going anywhere.... that leaves.... lacy.... adams....ivanyi.... leuchanka.... price..... white..... mokango.... ardasi and raven..... does mm really feel that kelly miller and three of this bunch will make the difference.... make us better than last year.... ??
