Well that sucked. Lauren Jackson needs to be stopped! Maybe MNM can scratch up a few things for them to learn from after this one... ouch! Not so impressed with LaStanka thus far this season... Let's pack the house on Friday night and bring the W home!! Go Dream!!!

Wow! What a night! My family is on Day 1 of a 13 day road trip and didn't make it to the hote until the end of the first quarter. However, we were glued to the WNBA app on my phone to get the score.
My observations... for what they're worth... the Dream looked fatigued and frustrated during most of the game. I think those two factors led to some of the inexcusable mistakes. How many times did our players just lose their grip on the ball? How many offensive rebounds leading to second chance points did the storm get?
The bright spot for me was Brittainy Raven. I watched her a lot in college and finally saw the fire in her which I knew she had. She hustled and played smart ball even though the outcome was already determined. I really think she has something to offer the Dream.
I'm still extrememly excited about this team and I can't wait to get on the plane for ATL and watch some games in person!

slipped into the same habits as last years playoffs.... angel passes up on wide open teammates to shoot difficult shots.... when teams clog up our middle our posts have a hard time navigating the lane....
shalee is ineffective and has to be replaced for long periods of time because she's easily exploited.... i was wrong about kelly tho.... she's not flamboyant or a game breaker.... but she's solid and won't hurt you... coco is just taking up a roster spot...
jackson hurt us.... but so did cash.... swin disrupted us at both ends.... but it could have been worse.... kelly hounded sue and prevented her from really getting into a rhythm when she was on her....
angel needs to pay attention to where her posts are at before she shoots.... she just goes for herself too much.... many of her shots she seems to only trust herself to follow.... her posts are often caught out of position.... and when things aren't going her way... she' compounds the situation with frustration.... instead of concentrating on helping her team in other ways....
desouze is a beast in the post... but on defense when she has to come out more than 7 feet she's a little slow of foot and has poor lateral movement.... we need defensive schemes that allow for that and that cover up her defensive shortcomings....
price will be a good player once she gets an oncourt identity.... she doesn't really know who or what she is yet....
we seem to be taking the stance that jackson's shooting beat us.... and that other teams won't have shooting like that.... but truth is that seatle exposed a lot of our weaknesses and that we didn't have the ability to adjust....
if teams let us get into a run and gun game.... we'll beat the s**t out of them.... but if they force us into a halfcourt game.... and clog the lane.... we're at a loss.... and i don't see that changing with the personell that we've got.... as always.... jmo

When Erica and Sancho are in foul trouble, and non-existent like they were last night we are not going to win many games. Not only that there wasn't anyone who could stop Lauren Jackson. I can't stand her lol.

If you were watching the game you would here the announcer say that our team captains are McCoughtry and Lehning...um I think that's a huge problem. When we get into a hole we look to two kids who are still wet behind the ears...Holdsclaw was our team leader last year and now its two sophomores?

just because Mique was the oldest and maybe the best player last year. Doesn't mean she was a great captain.

To my untutored eye, Jaye has it pretty well nailed about the game this time. We lost control of the paint. Our posts were covered most of the time, and couldn't get off clean shots from under the basket. So they tried shots that weren't so clean, and missed. Then they tended to miss the offensive rebound, and Seattle turned our misses into their points. Our outside shooters were taking more wild chances than before partly, I think, because they quickly lost faith in the posts to get the rebounds and keep them. Psychology played its role, and desperation replaced cool judgment. I don't know about the team's dynamics, but here's where we needed someone to take charge on the court and calm things down and help restore some confidence. I saw only the first half (I'm away from home, and the game was on ESPN2, so I still got to see part of it) but from what I saw, we were pretty well beaten before the first quarter was over. Turnovers, wild shots, and being dominated in the paint aren't the kind of game we've been playing so far.
But then, we won't always be playing Lauren Jackson either. And when I refer to Jackson, I'm not referring to her shooting, but to her inside work.
And did anybody notice Camille Little?
