OK, so the game was excellent! The Washington fans came out and the crowd was hyped. Unfortunately, there was not many Dreams there (I thought that since Angel is from Baltimore more fans would be there, there was some behind the bench but thats it). Sitting next to the bench is really funny, I had Erica laughing at times because I was so mad at the refs call and she agreed with me.
Coaching style? Coach MNM doesnt have one...sorry. The assistant coach literally coached ALL NIGHT! Everytime out Coach MNM would "look like shes running it" but she be listening to the assistant. She took Erica out one time for no reason and Erica was pissed, Erica knew that no one could handle her. Angel and Erica sat on the bench and laughed at the coach because of the subs that she was putting in at crunch time.
I dont know if anyone notice but the whole 4th quarter and overtime MILLER played point gaurd and Lenhing was benched. The assistant coach knew we needed our best line up in. Coach MNM was trying to put Lenhing in during overtime and the assistant was trying not but...then Miller made a killer play and Coach MNM told Lenhing to come back. Thats our best line up, Miller, Castro, Angel, Little, and Erica. Miller makes good plays, shes not the best point guard but she is the best on our team. Brittany Raven is going to be really good if she can get some more experience, she went out there and played.
The Mystics did have a rough night shooting but every team goes through that, when that happens you have to find other ways to win (defense, rebounds, go to the bench), so GREAT win Dream, we needed this one.

The one think i like about Miller coming off the bench is that we she comes into the game....WE ARE INSTANTLY A BETTER TEAM!
Kelly has championship experience, she can dish the ball.....AND SHE CAN SCORE.
We used to not have that....there was a drop off.
Right now, we have Armentie and Ali coming in giving great minutes. Maybe a little offensive drop off but defensively a MUCH more aggressive line up.
Once we begin mixing it up with Armentie, and Miller etc...teams are getting tired....off working on offense and then chasing on defense. Right now it is working.
What MNM needs to recognize is when Shalee is getting into trouble. She has tried TOO much to show confidence in Shalee but she has allowed us to dig a bit of a hole before subbing in Miller.
She now needs to just GO with Miller as soon as you see her struggle. This league is too good and teams are going to start picking up on the weaknesses the 2nd time around...we have to be IN FRONT of that and not play from behind to "fix" things.

It seems like K Miller is getting playing time in the 4th quarter so her added value is recognized. The Dream need someone to score on occasion when staters are out of the game.
I thought Bales showed some offense earlier in the season, but not of late. Good play from the bench, including Bales and Price will be needed throughout the season; otherwise, that's where the loss of Holdsclaw and Snow could be felt.

I may be the only one on the board, but I don't miss Mique, and I sure as hell don't miss Snow. Who didn't do much of anything last season.. It's best Mique never showed up, so that the team had time to get used to her not being here, before the season started..

I was using Internet Explorer and locked up, so I don't think it was your Safari browser. I also got an antivirus threat blocked message. The only sites I had up were the WNBA and Dream message board. My job has been running full bore. All I have been able to do is work and sleep, so I haven't seen anything in the way of games. When I have tried to come up on the boards, I can log on, but I freeze up. The WNBA site only gives me parts of what I am supposed to be able to do. And I too got a virus blocked message the other day, and the only two sites I was signed into were the boards, and the WNBA site. Maybe the league needs to troubleshoot their system.

But it's pretty hard to argue with success, even if it is ugly sometimes.

So, the assistant coach is really running things, eh? (Reminds me when Cheryl Miller was "coaching" the Mercury back in da day) ...Angel and Erica clowning on MM too from the bench? Wow. And oh yes as said by many we definitely noticed Miller! Not good if the players are laughing at the head coach's moves though.
