i thought it was going to be the type of game that angel flourished in also.... but angel needs to learn to pick her spots better.... and not pass up easy shots in an attempt to make hard ones....
but good win.... i saw this one coming.... chi needs christon badly..... and canty is getting frayed around the edges...

Jaye, what does Shalee need to do in order for you to be satisfied? Even I could understand some of your previous comments, but geez, tonight she has 10 points and 9 assists - what more do you want from her? Maybe 0 turnovers instead of 3?
shaleefan, I couldn't agree with you more. Apparently shalee is not one of many of these poster's favorite players. I have been reading their comments for 2 seasons now, and all I can do is scratch my head. There is another poster here though besides you and I who can appreciate the play of Shalee. I think she is doing a great job, considering she is only in her sophomore year, and she is just coming back from what many feared was a career ending injury. If you compare apples to apples and look at the stats of other sophomore guards, shalee is one of the best in the league. It seems like most of the posters here are looking for reasons to bag on shalee. There could be 12 turnovers in a game and if shalee has one, someone is pointing a finger, yet she has the best assist to turnover ratio of any sophomore guard and ranks very high amongst most guards in the league. She also has one of the better 3point perc for sophomore players. And as far as defense is concerned, i have seen many players on this team miss an assignment and the poster not mention it, but if one play gets broken when shalee is in the game its like...shalee needs better defense. She is so disruptive, and hustles so much I sometimes wonder if I am watching the same game they are. I am greaty familiar with womens college basketball and am quite familiar with lehnings career. I am sure if she stays healthy, she will have a great pro career. But I am sure as you said, shaleefan, it won't be enough for most who post here. All I know is this team is winning without some of the posters favorites, and some of those favorites have either left the wnba all together or, are not part of a team having the success the dream is enjoying..

Im sorry...I dont agree at ALL...call me one of the haters Sophomore Guards: Renee Montgomery Anete Zogota Shavonte Zellous Briann January Kristi Toliver
These are all the guards that are playing this year in there Soph. yr, Shalee doesnt compare to any of them. Lets not even go into other guards. I did state that she is playing a little harder (I guess she reads the blogs and see ALOT of people would rather see Miller start over her). BUT defense wins games and its not like she has good and bad defense days....she CANT on ball guard AT ALL, MAJORITY of the time when the team sees Shalee gaurding her they take her. It does not matter how much you score if the person you guarding scores twice as much (she guarded Perkins alot this game (10 vs. 24)). If Miller was in as much as Shalee she could make just as many assist, SCORE more, and Defense is twice as better. Its not that I dont like her I just think shes ready for this league (with only 11 per roster) SOMEONE better could have taken her place. For college the cheer leader b ball player is cool but for WNBA it is suppose to be at another level and unfortunately Shalee (to me) doesnt have it. Teams play off of her because they know she cant shoot (not high percentage) so when she scores its not like most of the time its challenged (even her drives bc most of the time they over play someone else like little, erica, angel, or Castro and it leaves Shalee with a wide open lane). She i even horrible from the free throw line...A guard horrible from the free throw line, I thought that phase was over in high school....come on, NOT HATE just STATING FACTS...

i'm past tired of the shalee thing.... we criticize everybody.... but every single time we say something about shalee.... her supporters take the thread over defending her.... she's a good guard.... but she's nothing special.... she's got serious weaknesses.... and she's benefiting from playing with two of the best slasher/scorers and two of the best low post scorers in the league..... i've got two blown knees..... and i could get assists playing with this group.... as soon as you give them the ball they attack the rim....
you shalee fans need to get thicker skin where she is concerned.... she is what she is and someone is always going to comment on it.... if you like her.... enjoy her.... if we don't.... well... let us not....
she had a good game.... what's the problem.... that we aren't bowing and worshiping?? when was her last good game?.... three games ago??

Shalee Lehning is a good fit for running the Atlanta offense. But as she grows in the WNBA, there will be certain aspects of her game that have to be improved, like her perimeter shooting, for instance. At some point opposing teams will create a situation that make it seem that it's a 4 on 5 game. She just needs to be a solid shooter, not necessarily a great shooter. She really isn't expected to take a lot of shots, since the team is offensively potent, but she is expected to make her wide open shots. BTW, I think she's staying in Atlanta permanently.
