So does Shalee - I can't remember the last time I saw her have so many turnovers. Her assist/to ratio is one of the best in the league (3rd) but tonight's game isn't going to help...

If I have to sit there and watch us THROW AWAY another d**n game by letting Angle dribble out the d**n clock and chuck up some ridiculous ass horse shot over 3 defenders for the last 3 minutes of a game and lose another game for us my head is going to explode!!!

:Dtrueblue72: If I have to sit there and watch us THROW AWAY another d**n game by letting Angle dribble out the d**n clock and chuck up some ridiculous ass horse shot over 3 defenders for the last 3 minutes of a game and lose another game for us my head is going to explode!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You got to be kidding me right? For real...Angel loose the game? Ok, one play does not loose a game, you cant blame it on that because EVERYONE messes up during the game....especially on the dream. Angel is the go to player on the team and like the commentators stated: Coach drew up the play for the ball to be in Angel hands during crunch time. When she hits (and she has plenty of time of 3 defenders), everyones all happy go lucky but when she misses she gets crucified. She nots going to hit every shot. Look at last game against NYC (either them, Washington or Indiana) we played and the ball was placed in Sancho hand for the clutch shot...SHE traveled, never even got a shot off. Its a little more pressure when its clutch time. I have to admit, I would LOVE for Angel to drive more and not shoot so many outside shots but thats on the coach. I am hoping Geno with the USA team helps angel on that. BUT I can understand where she is coming from when she doesnt drive as much as everyone would like her to. Angel drives and does some amazing things in the air BUT they are risky...the more you do that the higher your chance of getting hurt. So instead of blaming it on 1 or 2 plays lets try to look at how the team played as a whole and what they need to work on. P.S. In MOST close games at the end Angel will have the ball in her hand, so you might want to turn the channel if you tired of it...FYI...

actually trueblue... as it turns out it wasn't angel that dribbled out the clock and chucked a shot over three defenders.... it was izi.... but your crystal ball was definitely on the right track.... that play was interesting.... did anyone on staff tell izi what the situation was?? was she informed what the score was and how much time was left... her dribbling the ball... and dribbling the ball... and dribbling the ball... was just surreal.... i just sat there with my mouth open....

okay people....I am not talking about THE EXACT LAST PLAY OF THE GAME....
I am talking about the last 4 or 5 losses we were winning or had a chance to, and with 3 minutes in the game, our new game plan is.....STOP ATTACKING.....set a screen for Angel and give her the ball....watch her dribble out the shot clock and then force a terrible contested shot for turnover and score the other way.....it happens NEARLY every game of late.
Angel is great, she can score in bucket loads, but this team DO NOT know how to close out a game....seriously.

And changing the channel doesn't work when I am at the game for the 3rd straight year as a STH.....for the record.

no offense.... but not sure why you're mad... this is what angel does... sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't... when it works she's praised for being able to make shots in all positions on any number of defenders... when it doesn't she's vilified for poor shot selection.... like it or not our team has tied their wagon to the horse named angel.... she's a second year player with a green light and no apparent checks and balances.... it's going to be what it's going to be.... jmo

She is a great player, dont get me wrong and she will get to be one of the BEST (jmo) but how fast she gets there will determine if someone can help her (a coach or vet player...someone that could really help her is Catchings, their games are similar and Catchings is strong minded/shows tough love)!

Yeah I agree with the above posters..I wish someone would teach Angel how to make things easier for herself..Why in the hell does every shot have to look like a trick shot..I mean don't get me wrong..when she's on she's really on..but at the end of the game everyone knows who we are going to and they triple team her..and she still shoots the ball..when will MM use her as a decoy? And then Izi is another story on her own..
