DANIELLE ADAMS...and then picked up Courtney Paris and kept Kelly Miller.

I guess I don't see how it ever made sense to have Kelly and CoCo at the same time. Their games are not identical, but fairly similar. CoCo has outplayed Kelly since Kelly's injury last year. When both were on the team only one was playing anyway. Phillips has not played but a few minutes here and there for the Mystics, so I don't see that losing her has mattered much. Esp. after picking up Courtney.
Adams was certainly the miss of the draft by all the GMs. Count your blessings that the Dream didn't pick her and send her to the Mystics. Then we'd have to play against her twice as often. Miss an opportunity with Adams but get a find with Courtney, so it all evens out. Since Courtney wasn't even in the league (and played for a whole year before) you have to figure that a lot of people overlooked her.

Who would have thought Danielle Adams could hang as a 6'1" power forward in WNBA. Not me. Of course, I didn't think Charles Barkley was going to have the career he did. Others didn't as well, when he didn't make the Olympic team.
Maybe this will be Courtney P's breakthrough.
If you play the hindsight game, the player that was given away was Camille Little, who got few minutes after playing well at San Antonio.

We wouldve traded her like we did Phillips. The "coach", sorry GM don't like 1st round rookie picks for some reason. Angel is the only one we've kept so far. But if we were smart, then we would have the inside/outside game solved with Adams! She can bang, post up and shoot the 3 ball better than Harding or Mazzante.

Just a follow up on this thread - the Mystics waived Phillips a few days ago. I guess she was really their first pick, but it shows trading her was not a loss at all. Paris turns out to be a much better backup center. I guess I don't see how it ever made sense to have Kelly and CoCo at the same time. Their games are not identical, but fairly similar. Adams wouldn't be getting much playing time here anyways, she's a perfect fit where she's at..

i think she could have fit in very well... and there's plenty of time that could have been found for her... no reason in the world that bales should be playing 25 mins a game....
