Man, I really dont know whats going on with our team...Erica needs more touches! Paris should play more! Harding has to be more aggressive, she only took one shot the first half...we need these people in order to win! Castro...poor Castro...this just has not been her yr. Why doesnt Angel have a single rebound yet? REBOUND team! Come on!

Why does our coach keep putting Angel as a 4!!! She is a 3 not 4! Last yr when she was 100% she played well against SOME teams as a four because she was faster...We are getting out rebound bc we need some BIGS in...put Paris and Erica in at the same time and let Angel play a 3! or take Angel out and let her rest and let Price play the 3 but we need to get on the board and run!

I agree with dream06 and dreamer930. I am all for playing CP3 more and I have to make the obvious plug for my girl, Coco. Next game, my starting line up would be:
Paris (alternate with Lyttle once she gets back and I hope it's next game) Miller Harding (run Coco as a PG and put Price in if Harding is off) de Souza (pull her quick and put Price in if Erika isn't doing it) McCoughtry
I know that de Souza is typically good and that she's a "fan favorite", but we shouldn't have played her for nearly the whole game when she wasn't making it happen and especially when Paris was hot. This line up would hit the boards hard and also play good defense. When they get home, expect to hear the Paris chants from the get go.

This is getting depressing. I thought we had NY's number.
Courtney and Coco were the only bright spots in this game. Its really wierd but Angel can't even hit the easy two footers, but she did get to the line a lot.
I too wondered why CP3 didn't play more. Hope she's not injured.
This league rather strange. Last year the Dream were the East Champs and the Mystics won the regular season. This year were fighting with them for last place.

Angel isn't even a 3 - shes a 2 - just ask Geno Auriemma, a REAL coach and the Fenn coach that knows what true position she is most effective in. Thats why shes having such a slump, they aren't playing here in the right position. Price is a 3 and Sancho/Courtney should be holding down the 4. The whole lineup is out of wack!

I dont like Angel at a 2 guard either...Angel is a slasher with length to get to the basketball goal and can rebound. A 2 guard can shoot a consist 3 (Daina T.) and Angel doesnt have that. Geno puts Angel at a 2 guard (IMO) because of the people we have on the team...Catchings, Moore, and Cash (altho Cash and Catchings played alot of 4 during most previous USA games, it was bc we were small bc of injuries and had no choice). If Angel played a 3, he would have to choose to cut someone (Cash, Moore, or Angel because Catchings is making the team). I think Moore is a better 2 guard than Angel bc she can shoot the 3 ball consistently (but Moore doesnt have good handles and not that fast) and Angel is a better 3 because she can drive better and slash better. It will be interesting to see who Geno cuts though because Parker will be back and Augustus will be back as well this go round. I think the untilmate line-up would be (with Lyttle back): 1. Harding (good on ball defense) 2. Miller (shes shooting better than Castro right now and Miller defense is WAY better) 3. Angel (Good passing lane defense BUT when her head gets out the game, Insert Price bc she is really balling this yr!) 4. Lyttle (good all around defense) 5. Erica (when Erica has a slow start insert Paris ASAP)
that way we have good defense on the court as well as scorers from EVERY position!

I like that line up, but Sancho is MIA. We won a lot of games last year with Angel and Izi in at the same time. When they are both on, this team is really great. When they are both off, we are 3-9. I think the main problem is that we don't have any pure shooters on this team - Angel and Izi are the best scorers but neither is really a great shooter. And both a very streaky. For all the talk about defense if doens't do you much good if you don't score. May be right about Parket having the trademark on CP3, but then she's not playing now. I think our five best players now are (no particular order) Angel, Erika, Coco, Lindsey, and Arminiti. Courtney is clearly the best one off the bench. Problem is putting together a line up that makes sense with those parts.
