I don't think Lennox should not shoot, she is a scorer, but she also has to play smart. Even if a team does build around a player, that doesn't mean you shoot every chance you get with 3 people on you and there are 2 other players open that can shoot as well. If she chose not to shoot tonight because someone said something to her, than that's on her. It's not like we have much to lose at this point. A lost is a lost whether it be by 5 or 15. Still goes down as an L in the record book. I doubt the coaches or anyone told her not to shoot. They may have said Lennox, you're a veteran you gotta take smarter shots, use the other players...etc. but I seriously doubt they said something about her shooting too much when she's leading the team in pts. Agreed. Good post.

it's been done more times then you can imagine.... players have had green lights and then have had them taken away for one reason or another..... and being the teams leading scorer doesn't really have a lot of bearing on it..... many coaches.... if they think your shooting is having a negative effect on the team.... will put a cap on you....pts leader or not.... do i know if this is the case with betty.... of course i don't.... i was merely asking a question and venturing a guess......
and telling a player that they have to take smarter shots and to use their team mates and telling a player they're shooting too much ..... is pretty much the same thing..... and many players don't take it very well.....
looks like young finally gave us some help on the boards..... we aren't the shock....but we don't have a bad team..... our players just aren't being utilized very well..... we're really just a couple of players (and a coach) away from being pretty good.....
great game latta..... once again.....remember when i was in those heated arguements at rebkell about her ability.....

Yep. You were right about her ability. She's a scoring PG. Have a good week, Jaye.

thought y'all might get a kick out of the boxscore on ESPN: sports.espn.go.com/wnba/boxscore?gameId=280622020I think they are trying to say no T's on the bench, but I found it a little humorous, as if they are saying the Shock didn't need to be coached, because Atlanta doesn't have one. ;D Edited to try to highlight the key phrase
