AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'll second that ducky! Too many untimely turnovers.... that's our pattern....we turn the ball over at the worst possible times....but even with that our biggest problem is lack of a defensive strategy..... we badly need a defensive coach..... you've got to be able to get stops in this league....on a consistant basis to win....

Well...that was another game we gave away. We so should've won that game. Sigh.
As always...the Dream fans, we were loud and supportive of our team.
They had so many opportunities to close out that game but we didn't take advantage of them. Too tired to give any more recap right now.....GAgirl and atlantagirl, as always, it was fun hanging with you guys tonight. See ya Sunday.

Well, from the looks of it. It seems Young and Lennox are not getting much playing time. Top rebounders and Betty was the 4th leading scorer in the league.... she is the 8th now. If The coach for Washington could get fired and they were winning why do we still have her and this staff? Betty has to be in the dog house, she only played 12 minutes and she isn't hurt. She signed autographs tonight.

betty has never been one to bite her tongue....it wouldn't suprise me if she and meadors have had words..... remember back when when i asked if anyone thought that maybe betty had been spoken to about her amount of and shot selection??
in anycase something is going on that we don't know about.....

Jaye - You were right. Betty is in the dog house according to sources. Izzy complained about not being happy and coach is catering to her. I guess Young got benched because of Izzy's happieness and now it has thrown a big whole in the offense because Izzy has the green light to shoot. Betty doesn't know her role as we coahes say.

This was a game we could have won.
Izi shot well last night, the only one to do so. I thought T played good D against AB; Erika did fairly well and is a welcome return; team 19/20 from the FT line; and 12 blocks.
Too many turnovers and not being able to capitalize on Mystics mistakes and other opportunities. Too many offensive boards allowed for too many second and third chances for the Mystics. Mystics shot well and we didn't. Defensive lapses left Mystics right under the basket for an easy two on several occasions. Offense and sub patterns out of sync; team seems lost as if they are in their first week playing together. Ann Strother quickly hits two baskets when pretty much no one else is hitting from the outside, and she gets sat down and that's that. We also were talking in our section about where was B-money...how do you take out a top scorer in the league...you mess with that and suddenly the games that we could have won are in the loss column.
Loud boisterous Philips crowd as usual stuck with the team until the bitter end once again.

Loud boisterous Philips crowd as usual stuck with the team until the bitter end once again. Last nights coaching was frustrating. As said Ann came in and right away put up a 3 then helped out more for a total of 6pts...next thing you know she's back on the bench--for the rest of the game . Then we have B-Money who maybe took 2 shots Tuesday and then wasn't able to really play last night. And as suspected there's been friction between her and Meadors which isn't what the team needs. Turnovers are our worst enemy. They always seem to happen at the worst possible moment and the other team takes advantage. I'd love to say that I'll be a lifetime Dream full-season ticket holder but the coaching decisions have caused me to begin to re-think this. As we've seen around the league, the Mystics made a change and they've been winning... I didn't expect the Dream to come out the inaugural season blazing but I did expect coaching to be at a higher level than this. Meadors has made changes in her lineup but what's the point if she isn't going to use the players correctly? From what I hear we need more plays for our 3pt shooters, plays for our bigs on the inside, better passing decisions and our players need to be given roles so that even when we get down we can come back in a well thought out manner. Why is it that when we lose by 15 I feel better than when we lose by 6?? In this case, it's because this was our game to lose and we did... The one up side to this...the Dream crowd always stands behind it's players...
