I agree Jaye. To be only two years in she is amazing. Watching the Japan and Spain game and the announcer keeps getting Cindy Lima and Sancho Lyttle mixed up. So he says Cindy Lima and Sancho Lyttle look alike to him. Ummm.. they look nothing alike lol.. I know they are both black, one being Afro-Spanish and the other being Afro-Caribbean but they don't look alike. Sancho is like a few shades darker and has dreadlocks and they are built very different. Gee- whiz we don't all look alike Anyway I have seen one or two players that could be pretty decent players in the W. Well, guess I will watch US run Canada out the gym. Go Angle!!

You have to be confident in your abilities, before anyone else believes in you. Angel has been very impressive so far in the World Championships.

Lets hope Geno realizes that Fowles is hurting and Catchings game has been off and put in Tina Charles and Angel to start by the time Wednesday rolls around and we play the Opals.

If I had to make a decision today, I would drop Shalee and Brittney.
Tweety can play the 3 because she can handle the ball like a PG, drive and shoot, create her own shot and can jump and rebound.
Andrea Riley comes to mind. She can play PG and distribute the ball, but we know a small PG who can't defend is a problem for Meadors. Danielle Robinson is a senior along with Jasmine Thomas!!
We need a scoring PG, like Kelly and Cocoa showed who can also play defense and bang around.
To get to the Division Finals and Championship, you MUST have production out of ALL 5 positions, and if you have a PG who can give you 6 assists and a PG that can give you 5 assists but score 8-14pts on top of that...you have more balance.
We could get the golden ticket and win the lucky first pick and land Maya who is a 3.

Our 3 dream post are in the top 5 for rebounds in the fiba world championships. Erika is number 1 with 12.6 rpg, Sancho is number2 at 12 rpg, and Yalana L. (spelling) is at 9.2.. Our post are doing great. Sancho is number one in ppg also with 19.6 I think we may need to keep Yalana on the team for 2011. She is showing her potential. I also think that Sancho is showing that she should get feed the ball on the block a little more in 2011. I know she works the high post mostly for the Dream but she has been doing the d**n thing in the low post for Spain. MM needs to find a way to feed her more. I know Angle is and should be our number onw option but Lyttle should def be our number two this is jmo. But, I know we run more then we set up in a half court set. I am sure the coaches know what they are doing. Also is Amaya Valdemoro too old to come to the ATL. She could take the place of a Millier twin. And do you all think Yuko Oga could play in the W? Not for us but I have enjoyied watching her play.

Leuchanka built up her rebounding numbers against the lesser teams.... against teams with good posts she hasn't been that good... against australia she's got 4 rebounds and against the usa..... she didn't have a single one....

I hear you, but I still think that she has some potential. But like I said if the Dream can find better without giving up height then they should go for it.

The Dream players showed up well in the FIBA - Sancho and Yelena made All World. (Ok, all tournament). Angel put up great numbers - and it was hard on the USA team loaded with talent. Erica lead in rebounds, put up lots of points. Amazing how much talent there is on the Dream.
I think Yelena is someone you pretty much have to keep. Erica and Sancho are better, but what if one of them got injured? I like the idea of getting Tweety.
Armintie is my favorite player for her attitude and hustle, but she probably has to be role player - someone to bring off the bench. (BTW - I think she could teach some of the bigs a few things about how to rebound. She gets way more than she should for her size.) I could see starting Coco or Kelly, then brining the other one in off the bench. Should pretty much keep continuity, and then play whoever is playing best.
I like Shalee as well. Probably is the best passer on the team, but I think the rest of the league figured out they didn't have to guard her. Brittainey didn't show much this year. Would have to come back a whole lot better next year.
Gotta give MM credit for spotting talent and developing players. Erica, Izzi, Sancho all playing by far the best ball in thier careers.

I'm all for Tweety of course on every WNBA message board out there. But for us to get her we would have to give up pick # 8 and another player that Tulsa wants. Not sure who but he would ask for Sancho or Erika knowing him. Minnesota actually has the best chance at securing Tweety in my opinion if they want her. They can give up several of their picks.

i know you love tweety... but we don't really need another scorer... tweety just does what angel and izi do.... we need leadership and a floor general and tweety has never really done that.... i would rather have tweety than izi... but that's not going to happen.... i'm not really sure where we go from here... we seem to be in a situation similar to philly with iverson..... great player and amazing scorer.... but always coming up short.... none of the great players ever won it all until they learned to defer to their teammates.... you're not going to win a championship when you've got one player with a perpetual green light.... regardless of how good they are.....

LOL, I know Jaye. Well, if we want experience and leadership someone just threw an article at me about Taj McWilliams-Franklin, (who I actually played one season with at GA State back in 1989), is interested in going to a team that wants her. We can easily unload Bales, as Yelena has probably played her way to a roster spot. As for the point and outside shooting issue, Kara Lawson will be a UFA. (I've just seen her choke in games in crunch time before)

taj couldn't hurt... that's for sure.... even if she spent limited time on the floor.... we just need someone that angel respects enough to defer to... and will listen to when they give her advice.... cause right now she really feels that she's the last word.... it's part of what makes her such a dangerous offensive threat.... but it needs to be reined in at times..... the reason i pushed lawson was because she was available and possible to get... not because i felt she was so amazing... she brings a stability to every team she plays with and she's a legit three pt threat... shooting just 2 percentage pts behind taurasi and hammond..... and angel and izi are still going to run... but unlike some fans you've been in the game before... and you know that no team runs 100% of the time... you balance your attack.... and you're going to run into teams (seattle) that can run just as well as you can... you've got to be able to do more than one thing....and we've got two of the best halfcourt players in the league in erica and sancho.... but they can't help us if we run down the court and shoot before they can get down.... if yelanka can bring half of what she brought at the worlds she'll be a good backup... but i still feel that she came up way short when she played against legit posts... jmo oh yeah.... everybody blows up (chokes) at times....

i think that it's not what we need.... every year we address concerns that aren't really ours.... we have no problem in the post.... jmo
