The Atlanta Dream have signed Ruth Riley! I think this was a great signing. She is a two-time WNBA champion, Olympic Gold Medalist, and former All-Star. She is coming into fill in the roster spot that was vacated by Sancho's suspension. I should've known this signing was coming, because I saw here at Philips in the Hawk Walk at Friday's game, and I knew a roster spot was open, but I didn't put two and two together lol. Anyway, I am very happy with this signing, because I think she will be taking LeCoe Willingham's roster spot once Sancho returns. She is basically a better version of LeCoe. They are both bigs that can shoot (but Riley is a better shooter and a better rebounder), they both have championship rings (although Riley played a bigger role on her two championship teams), and Riley has a Gold Medal and has been an All-Star (which Willingham has not). The Dream website marketed the Willingham signing like we signed Tamika Catchings, and I was not happy about that, and I think Riley is a much better and more high-profile marketing worthy signing than Willingham was. I couldn't be happier to have this WNBA legend on our team, and I think she will still contribute a lot (I am surprised no one else had signed her yet). What are your thoughts?

nobody else had signed her because of her age... and that she's not very productive... she had one good year really... and that was 9 years ago... she's never really been that great a shooter.... and an average rebounder for her height... and that was when she was young... she's been an average to decent post... my guess is that there was no one available to replace what sancho brought... so they just went for a big body... even just standing in the lane... with her size she could help the defense.... jmo look up her stats bro...

Her stats have never been great, but she has had more good years than Le'Coe.
