It was reported in today's AJC that Meadors said last night that she plans to start Izi on Friday, I guess for Young?

I saw that as well. It would be sad if she started her instead of Tamera. I think Tamera has been doing very well. That might be the case but I hope it's not. Last time they went to DC Tamera played limited minutes in front of a lot of her fans from JMU and the VA DC area.

Last time they went to DC Tamera played limited minutes in front of a lot of her fans from JMU and the VA DC area. That will be too bad for her fans in that area. Also too bad because, while she did not shoot so well again and had uncharacteristic misses on her free throws, she had the most complete game last night and new personal highs for rebounds and assists. And V. Johnson had like, six points. I'll take a wait-and-see approach, as in, will this really happen after another great effort from TY?

Apparently there was a busload of JMU people who came to that first Mystics game.

I like Izi and want her to get more minutes. But in her absence Tamera has earned the right to be part of the starting line up. As someone already said, event when her shots aren't falling she produces in other ways.

Tamera nearly had a triple double in the last game, and now she isn't going to start? That just goes back to the topic of Meadors being brainless this year.

If it were up to me...and it isn't...I'd give Tamera all the minutes that she could possibly handle. This needs to be an experience-building year for her, and it will help the starting lineup stay consistent.

But did you see TY grimacing and holding her right knee as she walked off at the end of the game last night? I was wondering if she tweaked it a little with all the sky-high rebounding she was doing.

I'm OK with Izzy starting. If we could just get 3 guards to get red hot, we might win a game or two...

I have gotten to the point I want her to start anyone that can help win a game. MAN CAN WE JUST GET ONE WIN!

Right now the lineup is listed and Castro is coming off the bench. It's not always accurate before the game starts, though.

Yep, Castro did not start. So it's either sloppy reporting from the AJC or something changed MM's mind...

Izzy isn't doing a good game since she played for the national team and had troubles with her coach of there..
