It's a good trade.
Mann has seen her best days, and even at her best, she had things to work on. Bales is young and still learning, and has fresher legs and better hops. This will really help the Dream.

Not sure how I feel. Why didn't she get more playing time in Indiana? It's a little suspect. I did see Ali Bales a lot on television while she was playing for Duke and she was good at the college level but not sure if she can make the transition and be competitive at this level. She reminds me of Katie F in some ways. Slow and potentially not aggressive enough in the paint at the pro level. We'll see - hope I'm wrong.... It will be interesting to see Ali and Ivory on the same team (Heel and a Blue Devil) but I think once they graduate, they put rivalries behind them which is the right thing to do. Ali, PLEASE prove me wrong. -Lattafan Ali: Thanks for proving me wrong! ;D GO DREAM!!!!

Bales played well for it being her first game with the team and apparently she only had something like half an hour to learn the plays. Interesting that Bales was able to get good minutes on the court but Mann wasn't even able to suit up for Indiana. I hope Mann gets to play over @ Indiana but I think Bales will help the Dream considering she's taller and bigger overall. As much as I don't like seeing certain players go, if it's going to help us in the post I'll get over it. Team first.

When your coach is clueless, you can walk in off the streets a play for them. Playing and learning from that coach , ain't rocket science. That team won, in spite of the coaching.

Can't you say this about the majority of the teams in the WNBA. I mean how many really good coaches are there in this league..how many have had their current job for more than 5 years?? Who do you think is the top assistant in the league?

I was commenting on something I read that Bales said--that's all. I most definitely give all the credit for the win to the players.

Hey Lattafan...it's me NCBlu...I am a season ticket holder for the Dream! I think the pick up of Bales was great. Allison is a very hard worker, she is a VERY smart basketball player and is hard on herself to improve. I think she will be a great fit here and I think what I have seen at the games is the Dream Fans love a hard worker...and will give up the praise and respect for hustling and giving the effort and she certainly will.
I also think she will get more playing time, cheered more for by our fans and in turn it will help her confidence and really improve her play. GO ALI, welcome to HOTLANTA!

It's so good to hear from you! I needed to see this note from you -- lifted my spirits! I'm working so many hours now that I haven't been able to get to the Garden like I used to. I'm also missing some of the televised games. My hours are absolutely brutal now. I'll send a pm on that. So you are a season ticket holder? That's wonderful! Please keep posting on the board; it's very fan friendly - great group of posters. There are several other season ticket holders who post as well. When the college season returns, we'll have to meet up again on the espn board. We had a great season last year! What a surprise our freshmen were. Who knew a freshman PG would help us run the table for the first time in conference play? Good memories. Too bad about Bee. Are you still traveling a lot with your job? I hope that all is well with you and yours. Kindest regards, -Lattafan edit: almost forgot - yes, Ali was a good pick up! GO DREAM!!

Lattafan is really Latta?--Cool, is the rest of the team disguised on here, lol? Hi trublu1110: Welcome to the board. Please be aware that I am not Ivory Latta. I am a Tar Heel fan who chose the screen name, Lattafan, because I enjoyed watching Ivory Latta lead the Tar Heels to many victories while she was their star PG. I think anyone who has been posting for a few years is aware of my background and story but for those who have not been posting for a while, I don't want false rumors/information circulating. BTW, I would love to be in my early 20s again but I'll never see those days again. Have a good weekend! GO DREAM! -lattafan

Someone please update me on the progress (or lack there of) of our former Dream member...Has Mann seen any minutes lately for Indiana?? It doesn't seem like her status changed much from our team to theirs. If I were her, I'd do whatever it takes to up my game for next season...
