I've been watching Bird and Lehning, and mostly, I'm seeing Bird on offense beating Lehning pretty consistently. But still, Bird's not scoring much. Why?

Jen needs to get a bit rougher on Jackson, don't you think?

Those passes from Lehning were bullets. Can't deny what I see with my own eyes.

Atlanta is determined to give all of us heart attacks. 77-70 lead, 4:08 left, Dream possession.

Great win, Dream. And no joke, jaye---I'm just giving you a hard time, bud, knowing that if I gave you a hard time in the flesh you could probably kick my ever-loving' butt! Please don't take me too seriously. I'm a shalee fan, with no apologies.....at the same time, I know she's not perfect.

What the hell did Ivory do to get in MM doghouse again? We were at the game and scratching our heads.....I am sorry....Shalee is DECENT.....but I am sorry...she is NOT better than Ivory...and at least Ivory can frickn score the dang ball. How many frickin open shots can Shalee pass up...dang. Good win by the Dream though...And Coco played limited minutes but played her ass off and did well again as she always does. GO COCO.

Why didn't Latta play more?
Maybe defense? I wasn't impressed by what I saw of Lehning's defense on Bird (though she wasn't on Bird all the time) but the fact is that Bird didn't score anywhere nearly as many points as she usually does. Maybe MM just wanted more of what Lehning brings than of what Latta brings tonight against this particular team. It's not necessarily a doghouse.
And by the way, does it matter which player scores, so long as the possession results in a score?

trueblue and tichayo, it's about winning and losing....the Dream wins under Lehning....they lost last year under Latta....make of it what you will....I know it's FAR more complicated than that, but....sports folks find something that works and they stay with it....even if it doesn't always make a lot of logical sense.
At the same time, I think Latta should be playing more....as should Price....but as long as we're winning, it's hard to second guess the matter.
If it's hard to make sense of it, look at the standings rather than the stat-sheet. What shalee does for the team isn't necessarily measured in the numbers tally. It's in the coaches' mindset and in the win-loss column.
