In my humble opinion, I think you guys are just never happy with any situation. If we lose, you complain. If we win but Ivory doesn't play, you complain, if Izzy in on fire but we lose a game, it's her fault, if coach doesn't play Tamera, she sucks, if, if, if, if.... I read all of you guys writing here constantly "One Team, One Dream". Have u ever considered what it really means? Right! It means that no matter who scored, who passed the ball, who got the rebound, who played longer, who had a bad night... nothing matters, as long as we are one the same page, focusing on the same goal, playing with the same passion, and having in mind we are ONE TEAM, going after ONE DREAM, and at the end, it all comes to that... nothing else really matters! We have one of the best teams in the league. Be grateful to that. Only five people can be on the floor, it's impossible to make everyone happy. That's the way basketball is. It's impossible to give everyone 25, 30 minutes of playing time. It won't EVER happen! How about start being more supportive and less critical to EVERYTHING? it's not impossible to be fair and unbiased.....

To continue to thrown gas on the flame ...
I don't know what MM issue is. But I do understand what everyone who has been following the Dream since the beginning has seen MM behavior from the beginning. Some of you are just looking at the Shalee and Ivory situation. But it's more that that. Izzy for instance we all know is one of MM favorites. She committed her to a new contract before she committed just about any of her old players. Win or lost of minutes should be earned not given because you're favored by a coach. MM even admitted to having favorites without saying it when last year Tamera earn the starting position from Izzy during the earlier part of the year. Tamera started 11-15 games last year and was bench because Izzy didn't come off the bench well, for her mind sake, she needed to start...WTH You can take someone's position because you can't mentally handle coming off the bench. And Meadors said that in the NEWSPAPER she admitted to liking Izzy from the Sol team and Izzy will always be able to play for her. If that's not showing favorites than what is. Izzy has never not started since. I'm neither a huge fan of Ivory or Shalee so I'm not biased, but I have to agree Shalee should not get most of the minutes as PG. Anyway I'm not getting into that, that's a thread all of it own on these boards, lol. Just as a former STH and fan, I know MM is biased!!!

I cringed everytime Izzy went into the ball game last year... but this year.... need I remind ya'll that she is one of our leading scorers?? Right up there with Mique & Sancho. A few games that we won, we could not have won without her. I don't know what happened to her from last year to this year, but there has definitely been improvement! Now... was I pissed a few times on Thursday night when she was just standing there in a daze and didn't go for the rebound... he-- yeah. So, there is my positive and my critical post. If Izzy is reading this... wake up and rebound Izzy, but keep scoring!!

Well, I respect everyone's opinion, but the point is: even though Latta is a great player, a top notch scorer, the team is winning with Shalee playing the PG. Why should it change now? Let's keep winning ball games, it doesn't matter who plays... I won't get into the Shalee/Latta discussion. But I think Shalee fits better on the team. Latta is a scorer, we all know that, but that's all... Shalee brings more energy to the team, mainly on defense where she gets many rebounds. Also, she is a passer, and that's what we need. We already have lots of shooters/scorers and sometimes, it's bad to have too many people eager to shoot the ball on the floor. Shalee brings more stability! As for Izzy, you guys are just too critical of her. She averages just as many points a game as Mique and Sancho. She is the kind of player who plays on the breaks, that's why sometimes she makes fast shots and the reason she doesn't get many boards... That's her game. And that's good, we already have Angel and Mique who can play one on one, we have Erika in the paint who does well on the offensive boards, we have Sancho being a threat shooting from the arc. We have it all. And no one will be on fire every night. Mique had many off nights, Angel, Erika, Sancho, as well as Izzy, that's the way it goes... Just wanted to say, that I agree with you guys that coach MM makes lots of "bad decisions" and she is totally unpredictable, but come one, she is winning ball games, let's give her a chance to see how far we'll go...

You are correct that Latta is a great player and top notch scorer so why is she withering away on the bench? I think we would all just like to see Latta get more playing time. A lot of us just don't undestand why MM would let a proven product (someone who can run the offense and is the all time leading scorer in her home state and at the University of North Carolina-women's program) just sit on the bench. In terms of the energy that Latta brings to teams, I could easily fill this board up with 100+ articles (i.e., SLAM, Sports Illustrated, local/nat'l newspapers, etc) that talked about the energy a.k.a. "Lattatude" that she brings to games. Many of us saw her "will" the Heels to the Final Four twice. As previously stated by others, she was one of the leading scorers last season but the Dream just didn't have the balance at every position or depth in the post last season. Actually, we had no post game (no All Stars) last season and you need rebounding as well as scoring to win games. BTW, it's NEVER bad to have too many scorers/threats on the floor. If you don't believe me just ask Pat Summitt (she'll be in the house on Sunday). It's important to have balance/the complete outside and inside game so that the bigs are not getting "beat up" in the paint. That's a lot of wear and tear on the body every other night and if adjustments are not made going into the playoffs where the ladies (our opponents) will leave it all on the court and will be fighting to stay alive, someone may get seriously hurt in the paint. We can't afford to have Sancho, Mique, or Erika get hurt. It's important to utilize your bench...play all of your scorers not just some of them. If MM continues to just play her favorites, injuries may occur...I hope and pray that does not happen. As far as the whole Izzi situation, I don't even know where to begin. 1 She left or was asked to leave the national team in Brazil last year (some incident with the coach). I thought it had something to do with the lack of playing time she was getting for the national team... 2 She didn't want to (or) had trouble with coming off the bench last season...go figure... 3 MM likes her a lot and she'll never get the "hook"/pulled out of a game no matter what...go figure... 4 At the end of the day, she's having a much better season than last year so I have no real problems with Izzi. I'm done with MM. I don't think she's a good coach. She's not highly respected. She comes across as a poor decision maker. From all accounts, Mique and Carol are running the team. She's not getting any more chances from this Dream fan.

I am puzzled by the thought that Shalee brings more energy to the team. How so?
Having watched Ivory play since her NC days, I can honestly say that I have never seen ANYBODY bring more energy to a game. It used to be my favorite part of the game, to see her coming down the floor with those "linebacker" eyes. and talking all that smack, that she more often than not could back up. As far as her showboating, it's just her style. And it gets the crowd into the game. Regardless of what anybody says, there can never be enough credit given to crowd energy.
I was always surprised that she didn't stay in Detroit. You would have thought that Lambier would have loved her.
Before I go on, I AM NOT bashing Shalee.
The rest of the team has to play harder to cover for her. Slowing the game down does not mean stability.
I say again: Shalee's style doesn't fit this team. She either needs to go to a team that is playing her style of game, or go to a team where they are willing to build a team around her.
As far as giving mm a chance....nah. She's used up more lives than my cat.
