This is pretty unbelievable that Phoenix would give up Pondexter for Candice Dupree...especially after last year. What are the benefits for each team...care to break it down for me

Dupree was the franchise player for Chicago. Look up her stats from last season. Phoenix did not lose anything. If nothing else, it's a wash. It was a good deal.
I'm glad that Cappies coming to NY. Excellent move by the Liberty. She will be a lot of fun to watch. I'm definitely going to catch a game or two with the family. I just wish they could get Ivory to NY. That would be a lot of offense. Nicole, Cappie, Ivory, Loree, etc. Threes would be raining in NY.

dupree is no joke.... add to that cappie reportedly forced the trade.... i think pho made the best of a situation in which worse case scenario they could have ended up with nothing....
as we usually do.... ;D (sorry, couldn't resist that)

Chicago is Almost as bad. At least they ended up with SOMETHING for one of their best players. but they still came out on the short end of the stick.
Then again, maybe Dupree wanted to go, and something is better than nothing.

chicago might have come out on the best end of this whole thing.... christon and kraayeveld are a long..... long way from just "something"... dupree is a h*ll of a talent.... but she has a habit of coasting at times..... christon is full out all the time..... might be just what chicago needs....
i don't really think there was a loser in these trades..... time will tell who came out the best.... chemistry and all that.... but right now.... it's a toss up.... jmo

Yeah we will see but d**n it's the same as trading Gasol after LA wins. I mean Bryant and Gasol is a force and so is Pondexter Taurasi. Loved those two together

i think this one is like the vince carter/hedo turkoglu..... i would imagine that a player with cappies skills wouldn't be happy being tonto.... no baller with that kind of skill and confidence thinks that another player is better then them..... i would also guess that cappie wants her own team.... where she isn't second banana.... can't say that i blame her....

Jaye: stud07 makes a good point. Dee and Cappie were a great dynamic duo but you are right. She is an All Star WNBA two-time Nat'l Champion/Olympian. She deserves to be the face of a franchise and is that good--enough said. She let her game do the talking and carried the Mercury on her back during one of those runs--enough said again. I have a question for you and I don't have time to go through the 20+ page thread on rebkell. What BUSINESS does Cappie have in NY? I really admire her swag and ambition. Again, good for her demanding a trade to NY. She's a shining star in this league and I'm glad the W made moves to accommodate her. Phoenix will be fine with Dupree. She's can put points up and takes pressure off of Smith.
