No major moves for ATL yet. Other teams are really really active.

Your rebounding is very good. The biggest need I see for this team is a solid 3 point shooter and guards that can make the pass to the open player. I just finished watching all your 2010 games and it is very apparent that your gaurds are going to shoot no matter how many defenders are on them and hitting the open player is not even considered. I watched your gunners shoot over 2 or 3 defenders while your centers and forwards stand wide open at the foul line (particularly Bales). Bales is your best defender inside but could easily double her scoring output if used by the penetrating gaurd.

Welcome Gort!
My fear - that we will make no moves while every other team in the Eastern Conference is making theirs. We finished 4th in wins and basically snuck into the WNBA Finals. Although without Taj and without Anne Donovan I expect New York to be worse than last year.

We need to make a move to get some guards that will shoot and pass, (keep Angel at 3 if we can). Have we even resigned Bales yet? Whats going on down on Peachtree street at the new offices?

I must admit that that the lack of action on signing players is puzzling. It seems the other teams are moving at full speed.

myguess is that mm has her eye on a european outside shooter... i would also guess that she has already talked terms with this player... and come to an agreement... so she feels that there is no hurry... at least that would be my guess....

In general, I would say that the Dream don't really need too many adjustments. Some adjustments, yes I would agree to that, but not many. This is one of the fastest teams in the league, so keeping up with them would be the league's challenge. I do agree that they need a consistent perimeter shooter or 2. Castro-Marques was on fire from the perimeter in 2009, has cooled off a bit in 2010. Only time will tell how she'll do in 2011. Their inside game is solid, and I would like to see Bales back on this roster.

Although without Taj and without Anne Donovan I expect New York to be worse than last year. I think last year Atlanta slipped to 4th place because they knew they were in the post-season. Besides, the top 4 teams in the east could have gone a variety of ways as to who would finish in what place. I thought all 4 of those teams were evenly matched, and the whole race to the finals was a toss-up for who really wanted it more. Atlanta simply outplayed everyone in the East for that run to the finals. IMO that shouldn't have surprised anyone for Atlanta to make it there as a 4 seed. I don't think there's much to worry about for this Dream team, except maybe who they draft.

i don't agree... for two years we've been a team that lacks what ever it is teams need to get over that last hurdle... and the draft is an extremely weak one.... the problems we had two years ago... we still have... our major players have at times been strong enough to overcome our weaknesses... but that doesn't mean that they aren't still there.... jmo

jaye hit it on the head. They lack team play. Too many individuals playing for themselves and if they have a bit of an off night shooting they just keep forcing up shots. I just finished watching the game against the Storm Aug 10th, take note of Angels offensive foul inside of 1 minute to play in the first half. Note again the wide open player (Bales) just off to her right. Pitiful! They could have run the Storm off the floor in the first quarter with a little team play.
