In case you haven't been through the news section of wnba.com here's a couple of interesting articles that are featured. 1) Melissa Rohlin wrote an article for the L.A. Times basically bashing the WNBA. Why? She figures the negativity will somehow spark more interest???...Note: she starts the article talking about how she didn't make it into the WNBA (can we say chip on the shoulder?)...This article shows how ignorant some people (yes, men AND women) still are in regard to the WNBA. She obviously is NOT a basketball fan in general, she's a fan of dunks and showboating. Yet, the L.A. Times ran the article despite that fact. www.latimes.com/sports/basketball/wnba/sparks/la-spw-rohlin20-2008sep20,0,7436798.story 2) The second article is written by WNBA star Diana Taurasi. She's not a writer, but she could definitely freelance for the WNBA. Taurasi defends the WNBA in a passionate manner and basically says everything any REAL basketball fan would say to defend their sport. latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2008/09/diana-taurasi-i.htmlBEWARE: If you have an aversion to ignorant comments take note: Rohlin's article and a few comments in response to Taurasi's article are filled with them.

i saw that.....the rohlin article was pitiful......ignorant is the right word.....and coming from a woman that claims to be a basketball player.....it was downright ridiculous......she struck me as being somewhere around 19 years old.....
