Looks like Angel's doing well off the bench. We've widened the gap again.

We've had this kind of lead before...but lost it. Hopefully the subs can hold on, and the starters come back in the 2nd half with start-of-game energy!

Two conclusions:
1) If the Dream lose this game, Marynell Meadors should be fired. 2) Tamera Young needs to be traded. If you're not going to be put in the game when your team is up by 32, MM needs to trade Young and let her catch on with someone else.

afoundingfan, it's avoiding the Peter Principle, which is "ascending to the level at which you fail to perform." Perhaps Latta is simply better off the bench than starting. I know some here think it's all about how many points you score, but to coaches and others, there's more to starting than that. I am in complete understanding of folks being better in certain roles that others. Latta scores points and we need that--how many games have we lost but were so close? With that said, I like many aspects of Shalee's game, and I don't discount some of the "more to starting" than scoring. I like the intangibles, I notice them and appreciate them, but we should have more Ws. Last year Latta started and was our second-highest scorer. This year she got cut, we all know that story and it's water under the bridge now. Latta has come along since MM brought her back to the team and is doing well off the bench. Could she start and do just as well or better? Time and starts will tell. JMO

Of course I don't want Young to be traded but IA if it's gonna be like this you gotta let her go and try to develop elsewhere JEEZ AFF

nonsense.....if one player is clearly a better player than another and contributes more....that player should be starting....and getting more minutes.....ivory has started before and shone in the position.....there's no mystery as to how she performs in a starting role.....the excuse of "intangibles" is getting to be a hollow one....

Just got home and see that LiveAccess has been an issue since the game began -- is anyone able to watch it now? I'm not...

I know we fans feel like we can watch it on TV and know everything, but perhaps Young is not yet over her injury. I know that Lehning sprained her ankle a few games ago and she continued to play....but I also know she was fighting through the lingering pain (and perhaps still). Young MAY be fighting the same problem.

jaye, look at Latta's numbers last year, points versus starts versus team record....enough said. I know to you it's all about box-score. Not to everyone.
