It's not unusual for a team or players (or especially coaches) to fail to mention injuries, for any number of reasons, not to mention info for the opposing team. My recommendation is that you not expect that kind of specificity in a tweet from a professional athlete. I'm not looking for recommendations and I don't have expectations. IMO I think the lack of candor about injuries is used for greater "benefit" by the NFL.

She is not injured point blank. She wants to be on the court and its not happening. Not really trying to stir a debate just saying that my Sister is fully capable of playing and Meadors is not making that happen. So therefore it's time to let her move on, but that is in Meadors hands as well unfortunately so who know when that will happen. Injuries have def slowed her down this year and no she has not looked good when she got the chance to play. But if any of you have played any sport you know its hard to keep confidence in your game when you know your basically gonna play 2 maybe 3 mins a game. No one wants to do that let along a professional athlete who has never dealt with anything like this before in her life.

under, you're exactly right. And as Latta and McCoughtry can attest, the relationship to the coach makes a difference, especially if during your absence the team seemed to make a surge. Young's a great player. If she can't play with the Dream, I'm sure someone else would love to have her!

Can you imagine the Arizona papers tomorrow?
"Nightmare in Atlanta"
Or "Mercury Lost in a Dream"
Or "Mercury Plummets in Dreamland"
Or "Nightmare Blankets Mercury"
Or ... well, whatever!

Taurasi---30% shooting and Pondexter---12% shooting. Don't know if it's our defense or their off-ness. But it translates to a 30-point Dream victory, with more than twice as many wins as all last year. It's easy to have expected more, but not reasonable, IMHO, given new coaching, players, etc. But there's a long way to go to be in contention!

It is a shame but I hope things work out -- my first preference is that they work out with the Dream of course!

being stuck on the bench can seriously mess with a ballplayers psyche.....it can cause them to lose confidence in their game which can serve to bury them even further on the bench.....good coaches can recognize these trends in players and take steps to eliviate them....things like finding situations in which to get them some much needed playing time......letting them play with the starters in practice.....creating plays for them.....
not just burying them on the bench and basically making them feel as if "hey....it's your azz....whatever happens to it".....
mm has a history of throwing her players under the bus....she's also a yank and pull coach.....as i said an athletes phyche is a fragile thing.....i've played for people like her before.....and not many people on our teams were happy or content......i like tamera.....but if mm doesn't leave....i really think her career would best be served elsewhere....it seems obvious that she's not going to blossom under the conditions here....and that mm is distancing herself from her....

What an awesome game to be at tonight!! Way to go Dream.
It is funny to come home and read all the comments. Tonight at the game, some of the other season ticket holders like myself mentioned that Ivory seems to thrive in this role off the bench. Whether it be the mentality that she has something to prove....or maybe it is by the mentality that "hey...go in and be our savior" type of thing. Whatever it is...IT'S WORKING....so I could careless if Ivory starts.
What is apparent is Ivory and Angel need more minutes and finally getting them.
What is also apparent is Tamera and Coco both have had their minutes just dwindle down. Tonight Coco was the only player on the team who did not score and you could tell they were trying desperately to get her a shot in the last 2 minutes...she was frustrated and upset that it didn't happen.
I am not sure what to think of Tamera and Coco in regards to MM. But one thing is for sure...she doesn't know how to MOLD a player..they either perform or else....very odd and shameful.

ivory thrived last year as a starter....who's to say that she wouldn't be playing even better if she were starting....she's a talented player....she's going to show in either situation....so how can anyone possibly say that it's because she's coming off of the bench....
point is she deserved not to have been cut.....and she deserves to start....cutting her to start with was a slap in the face.....keeping her coming off of the bench when it's obvious to the world that she's the better player is a further slap in the face.....and goes back to what i said earlier in the season about mm not admitting her mistake.....
i admire ivorys attitude cause if it were me.....i'd be pissed and nurturing some serious dislike for mm.....

Keep in mind this was their third game since the all star break, which one was the next day and all were on the road on the east coast. I am glad we were able to play them when we did.
