Well it's good to know I'm not the only one who wants to see Mann get more playing time Come wednesday I'm definitely going to be as vocal as possible when she's on the floor.

I'm still not convinced she's 100%. She spent the entire first half and a good part of the third quarter sitting on the floor with a heat pack on her knees. I soooooo want her to get in a game with some quality time. She's fine. She's not hurt. And even though we lost @ Chicago, Mann got 24:41 minutes on the floor!!! That and Lacy's double-double were 2 silver linings.

I don't think she is hurt. It is about time she got more than 4 minutes thou. When my niece met her she told her she wanted her to get put on our team the Connecticut Sun. I am happy she got to play.

I missed the first quater and was mad when I found out she started and I missed it BUT I was VERY happy to see her come back into the game later on. Coach Meadors is FINALLY using her talent. Mann was the only one able to keep up w/ McCarville (Katie was too slow). Had it not been for Mann, McCarville would have gotten off way more shots than she did. AND Mann got some got pts on the board. GO KRISTEN MANN!

Too bad coach didn't put Mann back in late in the game when the Liberty shut Feenstra down and caused her to turn over the ball twice. I just knew when they came out of that timeout Feenstra would be out and Mann in. But noooooo....there was Feenstra still on the court!

well glad to see she finally got a start. she went 4 for 5. she should have been put in the second half instead of katie. she is too slow and ms mann is better. just cause she is taller dont make her better. kristen can also shoot beyond the arc, so why they didnt have her in is besides me. i know i might live in ct, but i like the dream because ms mann is on your team and not on ours.

Well, per the Game Notes on the Dream site Mann should be starting again tonight.
I think I might start calling her the "general" considering how she was directing the team, on both ends of the court, while she was on the floor during the last game.

i completely agree with Jaye. Sometimes some of the players the coach sub in are not a good fit for who is already is in the game. It just seems as though some players play better with other players and not everybody playing well with who ever is subbed in. Beats me.

Mann has started the last two games. I'm a little surprised because she had done nothing off the bench so far this year. What exactly does everyone like so much about Mann? I would think the lineup right now, given that Castro is missing and Desouza is injured, should be : Latta, Lennox, Young, Lacy, Feenstra. I really wish Meadors would try Lacy and Feenstra on the floor at the same time, they never seem to be in together.
Anyway, how long is Desouza supposed to be out? She's not on the injury list on Yahoo's page for the Dream. They could REALLY use her rebounding right now, they only had 21 rebounds in the ENTIRE game against the Fever.

Do you watch the game being played or do you pay more attention to stats? Paying attention to the game being played, requires the watcher to have a good understanding of the X's and O's of the game, to appreciate what she brings to the floor.. If you understand that , then you'll know (win or lose) the team looks more organized with her on the court. My observation before she was put into the line up was. Players didn't know how to contribute to the game without the ball in their hands. That's one on Mann's biggest strengths. Her basketball IQ is off the charts. The team was looking totally confused on the defensive end. They looked like streetballers on offense. Defense improved greatly when she was put in the lineup. So has ball movement on offense. The communication on the court looks a 100% better. Stuff like that don't show up in the stat box. But, is very much needed. Win or lose, with Kris on the floor. It's the right direction. Because the team looks more fluid. When Desouza get's back, the team will look and feel more like the caliber of action she's accustom to playing in. She will flourish in a better organized system. As far as Feenstra, she was casted off by two GM's. I don't think they were wrong about her. What's disappointing about her game is, I don't see any improvement. She still looks like a rookie to me. I want to see her add something new to her game, every year. You can't rely on being the biggest player on the court all your career. Teams will make adjustments (as New York did), and her size will be ineffective. Also, what good is being the biggest player on the court, if opposing teams are not afraid to take it to you ,in the paint. Nobody is afraid to go at her. She need to establish her presence in the paint on defense to beastly proportions, and make opposing players think twice about coming in there. Nobody is afraid to attack Feenstra. If she can become a beast on defense. It would force the opposing offensive player to think and work that much harder. It will also create more offensive opportunities for the Dream. We already know they can score. But, what good is being able to score. If you can't get stops. If I'm coaching Feenstra. I need to see her be that defensive player that can make at least 5 stops(that's 10 points), changing the opposing player's direction in the paint. By either blocking the shots or making them pay for bringing their little butt in there. I don't want to see opposing teams exploiting my 6'8" center like that. If they do, 6'8" will be sitting on the bench right next to a pissed off me. That's how she would earn more playing time with me. That and at least 10 boards, would be her role. Scoring and anything else would be a bonus. Right now, I think the coach is playing her too much.

And if you watch her on the court she's good at directing other players on defense.

Meadors can find the right players with chemistry, we've gotten that far. Now comes figuring others into the equation when substitutions need to be made.
