Nancy Lieberman, who is 50, has been signed to a seven day contract by the Detroit Shock. Any thoughts? ugh...give it up already... (those are my thoughts on NL - not you jordan)

yea....i didn't get that either. my favorite two things about Lacy - she runs the floor like she means it and is quick to step up and take a charge. Maybe I was a little harsh, but Wauters let it be known that she would not play for the Dream and she would play for the SASS so we had to trade her or she would have stayed in Europe. oh, the Wauters thing. i believe it was that she only wanted to play for Dan Hughes. i don't think she particularly cared which team he was coaching.

Ahhhhhhhhhh...did you just return from Mars?? "No Jumper"..she is in the top 10 jumpers in the league. At the interview with fans before th PHX game Lobo or Peck referred to Young as the "steal of the draft." If the draft were held tomorrow there is a good chance she would go as high as #4...she has that much potential. It was Peck who said it. And I agree with her. Her vertical is amazing! And Meadors said one of the reasons she drafted her was her rebounding skills. Hey, gang - I believe "No Jumper" refers to her jump shot not her jumping ability. Her jump shot is not the best form (no matter if it goes in - its ugly) - which is what I believe the quote was refering to.

I was worried that Kasha would fight at the Mercury game. We don't want the Dream to be known for bad sportsmenship. I'm not sure she would with her mom sitting right behind the bench!

I'll be courtside @ half court for the Lynx game on 7/9. The camera usually points the other way, but watch for me in a black "Haynie-acs" shirt with my Atlanta Dream pin on (thanks Stephanie!) Don't stop Dreamin'! Mike in MN On which side of the court? if you're across from the benches you'll be right beside me.

scarab: lovelace was no where to be seen...not dressed...not on the bench - what the heck?
I was so happy to see Ann, Katie, and Kristin H come out HARD tonight! That was impressive. Hanielicious you probably couldn't see but KH made an awesome falling down pass to Ann in that third quarter rally that made us all go crazy. And yes, that one ref #33 is horrible every time he comes to do our games. I just don't believe he's watching the same game we are.

Well...I just saw my Dream Insider in my email inbox and the Dream organization is announcing viewing parties at Front Page News in Little 5 Points. Hmm....I don't know yet which place I'm going to. I'll have to check with my other peeps to see where they'll be hanging out. Twain's is a heck of a lot closer to me though. But I'll let you know. I think I'll go to Twain's - I can walk and then not worry about driving in case there are one too many vodka tonics.

When I was at the season ticket holder pre-game Q&A with Rebecca Lobo and Carolyn Peck yesterday, the fan's I was sitting with said they found the perfect place: Twain's. It's in downtown Decatur and near MARTA. From what they told me great food and the staff really treated them well when they were there for the last road game. So that's probably where we'll be next week. cool! I'm in too. AFF: they're sometimes slow service wise, but it seems to fluctuate a bit.

Kristen is a very stabilizing force on this team. Did you notice how cohesive the team was while she was in the game and how our game dropped off when she left the game. After seeing her riding the bike during the second half, I am convinced she has a back problem...possibly muscle spasms. Remember, she was one of the last players to report to camp...maybe trying to rest the back. Remember, how we were questioned why she getting no playing time in the beginning. Something must have happened in Europe. She has not been 100% since the season started. She was late because , she was playing in France late right. i haven't been able to find any whiff of any kind of injury even on the euroleague sites. i don't think its back though, because she usually sits on the floor with heat across her knees. she's been doing that all season. that's why i was thinking maybe shin splints or something - she doesn't wear those little knee braces so its hard to tell. she's too young for a lot of knee problems, though if there hasn't been an injury.

of course that would pre-suppose that they are interested in keeping us in the loop in season on what they're doing. there is so little news about them its hard to imagine that they are in our community...

Dream fans if you like Jenna Marina's AJC Dream coverage PLEASE take an minute or two to say so. She responded to my email and was most greatful. She even asked for suggestions related to the team which she could write about. You can reach her at: jrmarina@ajc.com. i sent her an email - that was a pretty good article.
